Award Helper Information Specialist Monitor Registration Runner
Responsible for helping in either the Special Awards Room or Scoring Room. May be asked to fill-out certificates, hand-out certificates/ribbons during lunch, and/or help on-stage during the awards ceremony. Expected to arrive no later than 8:00am and may be asked to stay until the end of the Awards Ceremony (3:00pm).
Responsible for helping in the Scoring Room by using a computer to enter scores into the electronic scoring system. May also be asked, if able, to fill-in award winners in the Awards Ceremony power point presentation. Expected to arrive no later than 8:00am and will be finished by 2:00pm at the latest.
Responsible for sitting in classrooms throughout Bracy Hall monitoring the behavior of the participants. Will also be responsible for handing judging cards to judges as they enter the room. Parents may not monitor the room their child(ren) is assigned to; however, this will be handled by Science Day Staff. Expected to arrive no later than 8:00am and expected to stay until judging is completed (estimated as 11:45am).
Registration: Responsible for checking-in judges, volunteers, and science day participants and making sure each gets a nametag and appropriate folder of information. May also be asked to sell lunch tickets to parents and family members of participants. Expected to arrive no later than 7:00am and expected to stay until judging begins at 8:45am. If available, registration volunteers are encouraged to stay longer and help as needed.
Responsible for receiving score cards from judges (2 per project), stapling cards together, and transporting them to the scoring room. There are two runners per floor, and elevators are available. We ask runners be at least 10 years of age or older. Expected to arrive no later than 8:00am and expected to stay until judging is completed (estimated as 11:45am).
